Malta Housing Authority

The Malta Housing Authority is the national authority that develops and finances social housing and promotes home ownership. I was invited to conduct a qualitative evaluation of the Housing Benefit Scheme.

DePaul University International Student and Scholar Services

The Office for International Student and Scholar Services provides visa services and facilitates the inclusion of international students at DePaul University. I was invited to conduct a mixed-methods impact evaluation on the EDGE initiative.

DePaul Migrant Collaborative

The DePaul Migration Collaborative was formed by faculty working in the field of migration from various backgrounds within DePaul University Chicago. I was invited to form part of a research team to carry out community-engaged research and program development.

 Previous Collaborations

  • Armed Forces of Malta

    After the alleged murder of Lassanna Cisse by two army Soldiers. I was commissioned by the Armed Forces of Malta to provide training on radicalization and migration issues.

  • Commission for Domestic Violence

    Teenage dating violence is a large problem which the Commission for Domestic Violence wished to address. I was commissioned to spearhead the implementation of Safe Dates, a high school program promoting prevention and raising awareness on dating violence within the Maltese educational system.

  • Youth Guarantee Malta

    The Youth Guarantee project works with marginalized young people. Addressing the systemic and structural issues surrounding young people’s employability was identified as a key need. I was commissioned to train teachers in some of the underlying issues that lead to youth marginalization. I developed and delivered a CPD course for teachers and youth workers called “Communicating effectively with disadvantaged young people”. This project was commissioned by Youth Guarantee Malta

  • Commission for the Rights of Persons with a Disability

    Covid 19 had an disproportionate impact on different groups of people. To understand the impact on persons with disabilities the Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability commissioned me to conduct research on the impact of Covid-19 on persons with disabilities and their care-givers

  • Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council

    Young people in Scotland between 16-24 have some of the highest rates of unemployment. Addressing this I was commissioned by the Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council to develop and deliver training on youth employment strategies.

  • Valletta Design Cluster

    The Valletta Design Cluster is an arts community centre embedded in one of Malta’s most marginalized communities. I was commissioned to carry out a social impact assessment of the Design Cluster on the surrounding area and propose methods to address some of more negative impacts.
